Q&A with Gabrielle Ruiz
What are you most looking forward to on Star Trek: The Cruise VII?
I’m looking forward to hanging out with all the fans IRL! Star Trek: The Cruise is my first meet up event and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll do my best to not geek out over this Crew List!
How has your experience on Star Trek influenced you as an individual?
Working on Star Trek: Lower Decks has been a life changing experience. It has confirmed for me that the universe is really looking out for all of us. T’Lyn is a dream role and I’m lucky that it was handed to me. I take full responsibility for her outlandish behavior and I love that the fans love her.
Have you been to Aruba or Curaçao before? If so, what was your favorite experience or memory from your time there?
My husband and I have vacationed in Aruba and as cliche as this sounds, long walks on the beach in the mornings with a cup of coffee was my favorite moment of every day. The beaches are simply breathtaking and I couldn’t get enough.
Have you heard any fun stories from others about Star Trek: The Cruise?
Doug Jones told me that he almost couldn’t get through all the food selections on the cruise because everything was so delicious! He also said Tawny Newsome had everyone rolling on the floor laughing with an event were celebs speak over an episode from The Original Series. I can’t wait to make fun memories myself.
If you could go on a fan cruise related to something of your own interests, what would it be?
You could probably get me onboard with a wine cruise! Big fan!
