Engage in a Q&A session with Linda Park, known for portraying Hoshi in Star Trek: Enterprise. From discussing what Hoshi’s adventures on shore leave would be to sharing her perfect weekend, Linda shares her enthusiasm for her first cruise experience, Star Trek: The Cruise! 

Q: So happy to have you onboard for your first Star Trek: The Cruise, Linda! Have you ever taken any kind of cruise before?

A: No this will be my first cruise ever. I’m excited but a bit nervous about the seasickness haha.

Q: It’s been 20 years since we bid farewell to the very first Enterprise, NX-01, and seeing more of you as Hoshi. Did you ever think then you’d still be joining fans decades later — and now, onboard a cruise ship?

A: Well I knew that once you’re part of the Star Trek family, you become a lifer and have one of the most loyal fan bases out there. If not the most loyal. So I knew that I’d always meet fans at conventions but no I never imagined I’d be on a cruise ship with fans! I don’t think I even knew this kind of thing existed back then.

Q: We can’t wait to see what you will be sharing with us on your first cruise — but can you give us just a little spoiler?

A: Haha it will be a surprise for me as well… I do have to say I love Karaoke and say that may be where you’ll find me. Hopefully with Connor Trinneer who I hear is a Karaoke aficionado as well.

Q: On her pioneering NX-01, Hoshi‘s personal growth and confidence may have come the farthest among all the senior crew— and yet, she knew how to spend a shore leave! What would Hoshi have made sure to line up for an ocean cruise in her time?

A: Yeah she sure did, I thought that was such a fun episode and what I thought of when I signed up for the cruise. Well I think she would have been really excited for Cozumel, for the scuba diving. Apparently it’s wonderful there to see the coral. I imagine Hoshi to be someone who plans something like a good book and rest on a vacation but ends up somehow having the most spontaneous and dare I say romantic trip?

Q: What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

A: My favorite way to spend the weekend if I’m not traveling somewhere exciting is to be with loved ones. Ideally friends for dinner and then a fun outing with my son.

Q: What goal are you working toward right now?

A: I’m working towards balancing my work and ambition with living my life and doing the other things I love like travel. So this cruise kind of covers it all!
