Meet Visionary Artist Paul Shipper

Paul is an amazing illustrator, artist and graphic designer. He has worked on numerous Star Trek properties including Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard. His distinctive work has also been featured in multiple movies and album covers. We can’t wait to see what he creates to help us celebrate the franchise’s 60th anniversary through his incredible art.

Paul Shipper is a Manchester‑born freelance illustrator celebrated for his striking key art and imagery across film, entertainment, and advertising. After earning a BA in Illustration and Animation from Manchester Metropolitan University (1997), he has built a versatile portfolio that spans movie posters, home‑entertainment packaging, books, comics, magazines, events, and licensing projects.

A longtime devotee of the Star Trek universe, Paul has contributed artwork to numerous Star Trek properties—including comics, books, licensed merchandise, television, and film. Notably, he recently worked on the iconic key art for Star Trek: Picard Season 3.

Paul’s work has also graced the covers of Empire Magazine, Billboard, and Sports Illustrated, as well as advertising campaigns, theatrical productions, and music album artwork. He operates from his studio in Worcestershire, England, collaborating with a diverse roster of global clients.

Paul brings his deep familiarity with the Star Trek aesthetic and a proven track record of delivering compelling, fan‑focused visuals. His experience across comics, licensing, TV, and film ensures the new cruise artwork will celebrate the franchise’s legacy while capturing the excitement of its 60th anniversary.
