From imagining Hugh’s resurrection onboard Star Trek: The Cruise, to his passion for morning workouts, Jonathan shares insights and upcoming projects.

Q: We still grieve for Hugh’s untimely death onscreen— but it’s sci-fi: How would you resurrect him? And how would it involve a cruise ship? (Surely cruises and vacations on some Class M planet somewhere would have been great therapy for the XBs, right?)

A: I was actually ON Star Trek: The Cruise when that episode air so it would be fitting if he returned during a cruise. A small away team of Trek Fans book a one day journey to visit the Pyramids in Mexico and discover Hugh has been brought back to life by a Mayan Shaman and is living in the Pyramids. On a serious note I think Hugh’s back story and how he got to the Artifact and where he had been for those 20 plus years would be a great Trek Novel.

Q: Things get cozy aboard ship, so tell us now: what’s a hobby or passion of yours that even longtime fans likely are not aware of?

A: I love to work out so you might see me running around the ship in the morning.

Q: Can you give us a bit of a hint of any surprises you have for the fans here onboard? 

A; Well, I am working on a children’s book so hopefully it will be ready by the time we sail.

Q: What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

A: With my dog and husband and meeting friends for Brunch Dinner or a show.

Q: What goal are you working toward right now?

A; I have a children’s picture book and a YA book in the works based on my life the rest is up the gods. And I’m working on staying fit and healthy.
